The Video Cookbook App Reviews

The recipes are not for everyday cooking. I thought the application is handy for everyday grocery shopping but it isnt. The recipes are for special occasions which is not practical. Hopefully they are going to put more practical recipes in there.

There are well under 240 recipes in this app than they state. You have to buy "recipe packs" to gain all the recipes @$1.00 each. This is very misleading. These recipes are for special occasions , and not everyday meals. Very disappointing.

All the videos and recipes are very easy to follow and there are plenty of recipes to choose from. I am very happy with all their apps.

Brought som in app purchase but I had to change device and now I would have to pay back for it!

One of the better culinary apps out there

Very nice app, well designed and easy to use. Surely you will want to cook one of the dishes with it. And together with the build in shopping list makes this app a must have

Really polished app. The videos are detailed but still concise, and the shopping list and ingredient adjustment features are nice touches. My only complaint is that I wish there were a few more dessert recipes! :)

Perfect for people like me who straight up dont know how to cook and dont get the fancy cooking terms in cookbooks! yay!!!

The simplicity of the concept together with a great execution makes this cooking guide ONE OF A KIND! There is hope for me, after all...

I own a lot of cooking apps and I have to say this one is right up to par with Mario Batalis application which is both beautiful and easy to use. This app guides you through the process and is very intuitive. The videos are nice and simple to watch. Another cool feature is the serving adjuster, you can add or subtract the amount of people youre serving to and it recalculates the ingredient amount. Overall very nice :D

This is not an app for beginners like it says. its not even a good app for experienced amateur foodies like me. Blood temperature? Ribbon stage? The app throws out these terms with no follow up or explanation, glossing over huge sections of knowledge that you need to properly prepare the food. Furthermore, the UI is a mess. Sometimes minimalization is not the best way to go. Its a jumbled mess with no clues on how to use it. Stay away from this app until it figures out how to really do what it says that it does.

Best cooking app out there and I have them all.

Without a doubt my new favorite. This minimal app really feels targeted at professionals in training, but even amateurs should appreciate the concise instructions. No celebrities or spoon feeding here: just direct communication. If you get stumped on something, their Culinary Fundamentals app has more background on some topics (as does google of course). The recipes have a very modern Australian theme, blending French and Asian influences with short lists of fresh ingredients. Already cooked a few things from in here and look forward to working my way through the rest!

This is designed VERY well; at any point while watching a video I can pop the list of ingredients open. I wish it had more recipes, especially side dishes. Even recipes that are pretty simple would be nice to have; I get so distracted sometimes by animals and children while cooking that it would be nice to have even more simple dishes. A list of suggested (easily prepared) side dishes of vegetables with the mains would be wonderful. All in all, a very nicely designed app!

I just wish there was a way to add or purchase more video recipes! Thanks for the great product and please look into adding the ability to expand upon the library of recipes. I would even be willing to pay a subscription fee for such.

Ive been waiting for new recipes packages -- sent an e-mail and they were very responsive (hi Jude:*))!! The Aussie Native Cuisine packet has recipes Ive never heard of so Im looking forward to getting in the kitchen and learning something new!! I really like Appetites but The Video Cookbook for me is THE BEST video recipe app ever created!!!! Keep the new recipe packets coming!!!!!
